Incbury Code now has a desktop app
Incbury Code, our coding agent, now comes as a desktop app for Windows and Linux alongside the terminal and the VS Code and Cursor sidebar.
Incbury Code started in the terminal. Today it gets a home of its own: a desktop app where you pick a project folder, describe what you want and watch Atom work through it, with every change laid out for you to keep or undo.
An agent, not autocomplete
Atom does the whole loop. It reads your code, makes a change, runs your tests and fixes what breaks, until the job is done. You stay in charge of every edit.
- You approve every change. Edits arrive as diffs and commands in full. Dangerous commands always ask, even on auto-approve. Keep or undo each file, or each hunk.
- Rewind any time. Atom snapshots your project before every message. Restore to any point and the conversation rewinds with it. Your git history is never touched.
- Agent, Plan and Ask modes. Let Atom make changes, have it write a plan first, or just ask questions about the codebase.
What the app adds
- Sessions per project. Every conversation sits under the project it belongs to, so you can come back to a task where you left it.
- A changes panel. Files Atom touches appear alongside the chat, with diffs you can review before you keep them, and a git panel next to it.
- A built-in terminal. Atom starts your dev server in the background, watches the output and gives you the link. Stop, restart or type into it from the Terminal panel.
- Team mode. A planner, a coder and a reviewer work together, with your tests as the gate. Issues go back to the coder until the reviewer approves.
- Parallel agents. Give one task to up to four agents at once, each in its own git worktree. Compare what they did side by side and keep the best.
- Skills and MCP. Teach Atom how your team works with SKILL.md files, and connect MCP servers for GitHub, databases and more.
Same agent, wherever you work
The desktop app, the atom command and the editor sidebar are the same agent with the same approvals. Run atom in any terminal, script it with atom -p, or open the Atom sidebar in VS Code or Cursor to send it a selection or a file's problems and review its changes in the diff editor.
Getting started
On Windows, run this in PowerShell:
irm https://incbury.co.uk/code/install.ps1 | iex
Incbury Code installs for your user, with no admin rights needed, and appears in your Start menu or applications menu. Open it, choose Sign in with Incbury, approve in your browser and you are connected. Linux is supported today and macOS is coming soon; the install commands for each are on the Incbury Code page.
Incbury Code is pay as you go with your Incbury credits, with no separate subscription. See credits and pricing for rates.
An early preview
Incbury Code is at version 0.6 and still a preview. Atom is a small model, so review its changes before you keep them. It auto-updates, so improvements will reach you as they ship.
